Dr. Maddvibe is here to provide a comprehensive link to a new unseen side of poetry and performance art. As the alter-ego of singer and musician Angelo Moore, Dr. Maddvibe prescribes a healthy dose of reality along with a quick shot of cynicism.
Angelo Moore, a.k.a. "the Missing Link" started his career in the alternative/ska music scene of the 1980s as lead singer and saxophonist for the often imitated, yet never duplicated, band Fishbone. Fishbone's ability to combine social commentary with frenzied, upbeat music and a frantic stage show led to their reputation as one of the best live acts in American music. Their influence can be heard in such bands as-No Doubt, the Mighty, Mighty Bosstones, 311 and Sublime, among others.

In 1995, Angelo began writing and performing poetry as Dr. Maddvibe. Based on his experiences growing up as a "fly in the buttermilk" in the predominantly white suburbs of the San Fernando Valley of Los angeles, he addresses a vast array of topics including racism, social corrosion, family matters, and the human condition in a world gone mad. His poems reflect the politics of life in America today. On stage, his performance is charged with energy, passion, and honesty. And at times quite hilarious. The reaction of a listener, "It was a journey. A beautiful, terrifying, hilarious, amazing, magic journey... I didn't know whether I wanted to keep my eyes closed and just follow him in my head, or not even blink for fear of missing something." Angelo Moore has taken his spoken word to the stage in clubs, poetry festivals, and cafes throughout the world including New York, L.A., Paris, and Tokyo. In addition, in 1996, Mr. Moore independently released a highly successful book of poetry titled, Dr. Maddvibe's Comprehensive Linkology. In 1997, he released a cd and video of the same title.
Currently, Angelo is continuing his busy schedule of recording and performing. In January 2000, Fishbone released the highly acclaimed Psychotic Friends Nuttwerx, which featured guest appearances by The Chili Peppers, George Clinton, Gwen Stephani, and Donny Osmond, among others. In addition, in November 2000, Moore released a new Dr. Maddvibe cd and video called The Yin Yang Thang (on Asian Man Records). He also joined the Spitfire Tour team as a featured speaker. In 2001, Asian Man re-released the Comprehensive Linkology cd and book. And finally, in February 2002, Fishbone launched their new record label, Nuttsacktor 5 Records, with the release of their new ep, The Friendly Psychosis of All, and a live disk entitled "fishbone live at the temple bar" featuring all new, previously unreleased tracks.
