Central Elements, founded in 2002 by Alexx
Thompson, was formed with the desire to present
a very special handful of today’s and tomorrow’s
stars.
Stars in the sense of the incredibly original,
creative way they have chosen to impact their
communities and the world around them through Art,
Spoken Word, Film, or Music.
We are a Tribe, a family of souls with the calling of
artistically expressing ourselves that’s so intense,
it has become us.

Progressive Artistic Soul
ART
Art is a channeled creative power. It’s mistake
coupled with brilliance. It’s form unfolding and
playing. It is surrender and patience. Art offers us
the rare opportunity to fuse together themes from a
range of sources that reflect identity, adding
dimension and meaning. When one can relate to a work
of art, they will see their own Self hidden within the
medium. Art is for life’s sake.
FILM
The world is always anxious for another great story.
We've sat around, in ancient culture and in modern
truth, waiting for more of the driving wit, the acute
sensitivity,and the epic melodrama of our greatest
storytellers.Whether it be told in bars or on screen,
storytellingis the venerable age old tradition of the
Hero'sjourney. The wisdom we are desperate for is
passedon through crisis, climax, and resolution.
Film is so addicting and attractive because it is myth
and reality at the same time. It is the apotheosis of
the imagination, captured humanly, by human structure
and with human substance.
The material of film is life itself, shown with such
beauty and earnestness, or with such violence and
tragedy,that we are forced to add meaning and value
to our lives just by watching. and poetically, film
has the incredible ability to make any chosen moment
timeless, just by capturing it and logging it away.
POETRY
People who gravitate to poetry, who read it and truly appreciate it, are different. Quite possibly even a rare breed. Words are used so frivolously nowadays that people who seek out poetry, really read it because they have an inner desire to learn more about language as an art form, and as a powerful medium. Not so much because they are writers themselves, but because they have a void to fill. They romanticize ideas, they are verbally gluttonous, they have opinions, and they are curious about how other people use language to connect. Most poets and aficionados alike are looking for the same thing, Connection. We, at Central Elements, bless this concept as being ideal. We find politics, love, and culture as something that should be discussed and cherished. We honor poetry’s ability to connect people to ideas, to each other, and to a more articulate reality.
